Sign up at reffem.com/signup using your work email. You can sign up with email/password or use Google or Microsoft authentication.
After signing in, you will be prompted to create or join an organization. Enter your company name to create a new organization. Team members can be invited later from the Settings page.
New accounts start with 3 free reference checks. When you are ready to scale, you can upgrade to a paid plan from the Settings page. Plans range from Starter (25 checks/month) to Enterprise (unlimited).
Follow these steps to complete your first AI-powered reference check:
From the dashboard, click New Position. Enter the job title and paste the job description. Reffem will automatically generate relevant reference questions based on the role.
Click Add Candidate on your position. Enter the candidate's name and email. Optionally upload their resume for context-aware reference questions.
A unique link is generated for each candidate. You can send it automatically via email or copy it to share manually. The candidate uses this link to submit their references.
The candidate receives your link and provides their references' names, phone numbers, and relationship to them. Each reference gives consent to receive an AI call.
Our AI calls each reference and conducts a professional interview. References can take the call when convenient, 24/7. The AI adapts questions based on responses and asks intelligent follow-ups.
Within 24-48 hours, you receive a comprehensive report with AI-generated insights, skill assessments, key quotes, and any red flags. Listen to recordings or read full transcripts.
The Reffem dashboard offers three ways to organize your reference checks:
Organize by job openings. See all candidates applying for each position and their reference check status.
Organize by people. View all positions a candidate has applied for and manage their reference checks together.
Flat list of all checks. Filter by status to see pending, in-progress, or completed reference checks across all positions.
